Context Recruitment is delighted to be partnered with an extremely high-calibre IT Service Provider. You'll be joining a team of highly competent individuals within a Managed Services Team, supporting enterprise scale businesses in supporting some of the most cutting-edge technical solutions out there.
You'll be responsible for planning and allocating work / managing resource allocation, providing training to the 2nd and 3rd Line Support Analysts (of which there are currently 6 in total), in relation to Service Desk procedures, giving structured reviews and owning development plans for each member of the team. In addition, you'll be both a technical and functional escalation point for customers of the business. While you won't be manging a queue of tickets, you will of course need to have a good level of technical competence.
Considerable technical training / certification will be offered as part of this role; it really is a springboard to move into a more senior IT role.
What you'll need:
- Experience either acting as a Technical Lead, Team Leading or Managing a team of technical engineers, ideally to the level of 3rd Line Support.
- Previous experience supporting IT Systems to a 3rd Line Level (ideally with experience of Windows Server administration, Linux administration/Web Hosting and Networking)
- A good understanding of ITIL (ideally with an IT Foundation certification).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ideally (although not necessarily), you'll have a background working on a Service Desk within IT services. You'll have a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn and advance.
18 month Fixed Term Contract.
Paying up to 50k, depending on experience.
