Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Site Technical Manager to join their business.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and report Site Technical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Attend and actively contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, providing insights into current technical challenges.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Quality, Technical, and Operations teams on a daily basis, facilitating effective communication and information flow among teams.
Conduct internal audits based on the audit schedule, covering standards, GMP, jewelry, glass, hard plastics, and other relevant areas. Document non-conformances, conduct investigations, analyse findings, and implement corrective actions, verifying completion of actions.
Manage the Quality Management System and document control processes.
Oversee Pest Control Management, as well as the management of environmental, people, water, and product testing, and swabbing.
Ensure proper calibration management of site equipment.
Lead or participate in HACCP, TACCP/VACCP Teams.
Investigate and provide reports on serious customer complaints, along with implementing corrective actions and improvement plans.
Conduct site traceability tests/mock recalls to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Lead or participate in projects requiring technical input, contributing to continuous improvement at the site.
Promote a high standard of awareness and understanding of all relevant policies, procedures, and product specifications among internal teams and external customers.
Monitor and enforce compliance with hygiene rules and requirements
